Featured Reading at HCC-Southeast

Houston Community College-Southeast

Presents

“Literary Luminaries”

On October 23, HCC-Southeast and the Department of English will present a reading of poetry at the Houston Community College-Southeast campus. We are pleased to feature both established and emerging writers in our recognition of literary excellence in the Houston community.

This reading will feature award winning poets, Radames Ortiz whose work, according to poet Naomi Shihab Nye is “edgy, full-of-breath-and-emotion and real authentic life” and Tonantzin Canestaro-Garcia who was voted as the best performance artist by the Houston Press. There will also be an open-mike reading for students following the featured reading.
