The Graves of Poets

The Academy of American Poets has this wonderful article regarding the graves of poets. It's a wonderful read and most importantly, they list the grave sites to some amazing poets by states. If you're in close proximity to one of these locations, I urge you to visit and pay your respects. Who knows it might even inspire you to write a poem. I can definitely see that happening to me. Here's an example of the graves sites in New York:

New York

Countee Cullen Woodlawn Cemetery Bronx

James Weldon Johnson Green-Wood Cemetery Brooklyn

Emma Lazarus Beth Olom Cemetery Queens

Edna St. Vincent Millay Steeple top Cemetery Austerlitz

Frank O'Hara Green River Cemetery East Hampton
