Here's a cool book I found about all opium alkaloids, not just the semisynthetic narcotic Oxycodone (OxyContin TM-Purdue). Since I have a bad back and cornea transplants in both of my eyes in less than a decade, I am well aware of the effects of prescribed narcotic-based medications. If you are interested in a great book covering the chemistry and pharmacology of opiates and opioids, check out this book.
