Eye Problems

So, this past Saturday I had to go see the eye doctor for an emergency. Around 4am, my right eye became really irritated and I lost most of my vision. For those who don't know, I have had cornea transplants in both of my eyes. The most recent operation I had was in May. However, it was the right eye that was the problem, the one I had operated on eight years ago. When I went to the doctor, he said it was showing signs of rejection. Apparently, my body can't tell which one to reject. So, he gave me a bunch eye drops to use and if that doesn't work then they will inject my eye with more steroids. If that doesn't work, I will have to have another cornea transplant on my right eye. Currently, everything is cloudy for me, I can't read normal-sized text; everything has to be over-sized for me to read. I am writing this through the memorization of the home keys on my keyboard and have Michelle spell check it for me. I also had about four stitches taken out of my left eye over the past few days. I can't even read books because the font size is too small or becomes hazy, words blur into one another. The doctor gave me an excuse for the whole week from school and work.

I am working on a poem entitled "Waiting Rooms," which I am composing in my head and will later dictate to Michelle or record on a voice recorder. Doctors say my eye is doing better, they even gave me a special lens, that won't be ready for about a week.

I hope this well help, in letting me write poetry.
